Some important stuff here, but I think this guy is copping out, - TopicsExpress

Some important stuff here, but I think this guy is copping out, frankly. My life story is almost word-for-word the same as his. Thrilling youthful confidence and a wide circle of people who knew I was gonna change the world, then a fallback into safety and security, as a banker. But this guy is giving up at 46 - WAAAAAAAY too early. At 48 I decided to pursue my original dreams of being a writer/actor and place less emphasis on my real job. At 50 I left banking entirely, to focus on my passions. It took many years, but I have a screenplay on the verge of a production deal, and since going back into acting each year I have compiled better credits on better projects. Two weeks ago I wrapped a supporting role in a film starring CLoris Leachman, Horatio Sanz, John Heard, Christine Estabrook and many others. Today I have a callback for a national commercial. Its taken many years of very hard work, and I know that intense training, heartbreak, rejection will all be parts of my life til I stop breathing. But along the road I will make progress and thrill to many successes - spiritual, emotional, financial - and each year will bring more joy than the last. I am working very, very hard to ensure that I will always be able to look forward to more prominent roles in better projects, and I already know that vision will be realized. I dont mean to be harsh, and I certainly dont like to sound like if I can do it, you can do it... but sorry, folks, 46 is WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too young to be packing it in. In fact, I think its its an excellent time to recharge, redirect and reinvent yourself if thats whats in your heart. elitedaily/news/world/man-writes-about-wasting-life/841316/
