Some may know and most do not, but my husband Tom was very recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Within the last 2 weeks he has undergone many tests to prepare him for surgery. The surgeon is very confident that he will be able to remove it, by taking 1/5 of one of his lungs. His surgery is set for December 8th. He will stay in the hospital for approximately 4 days and then recuperate at home for around 6 weeks depending on how he heals and gets his strength back. We have a wonderful support team of family and friends. I have no doubt that he will come through the surgery with flying colors. Being at home and not being able to work will make him one crabby man! I have to deal with that LOL. I will keep everyone updated with his progress.
