Some memorable moments from the past week spent with my siblings, parents, niece and nephew include the following: Rory proved that it is, indeed, impossible to consume six Saltine crackers in 60 seconds. Reed proved that he still has a nack for retaining obscure and long vocabulary words. Kim proved that its possible to be a good sport, even after going through an entire week of playing card games and board games, without winning a single one. Jesse and Justin, age 8 and 11 respectively, proved that theyre both quite good at answering and making up trivia questions from Adventures in Odyssey. Karissa proved that she can still beat her grandpa at checkers. Kayla proved that she doesactually does have the patience to play the farming game for several hours, even though shes the only sighted person at the table and is put in charge of moving everyone around the board and performing banker responsibilities, as well. Grandma proved that she is still unable to tell Kim and me apart. Mom proved that her cooking skills have not diminished a bit. Im sure that Dad and I proved something, too, but nothing comes to mind at the moment. At any rate, fun times were had by all.
