Some news to share (taken from Fort Nelson First Nation Lands Department): FNFN Lands was just awarded $75,000 from the Environment Canada Aboriginal Fund for Species at Risk for our project The Dene interaction with fire: conserving biological diversity and cultural landscapes in northern Canada. This spring we will be cutting corridors and burning backwoods to replenish the understory and create better game habitat. Special thanks to Sonja Leverkus for her help in preparing the application.
