Some notes from the 1st-5th grade class as they learn about wisdom this month: As parents, we talk to kids about making good choices a lot. But if wisdom depends on learning from life experience, can kids really make wise choices? Yes! The Bible tells us Jesus was already becoming wise even as a boy. Your kids may not make wise choices every time—we don’t either—but they can grow in wisdom when they learn where true wisdom comes from. Instead of heaping pressure on kids to carefully make wise choices or get it right every time, this series encourages them to grow in wisdom by applying four Bible truths: choose God’s way over our own, ask God for it, accept correction, and learn from mistakes. Take time this week to read with your kids about Jesus as a boy from Luke 2:41-52.
