Some of these Spanish speaking negroes (YES, I said negroes) KILL me with this stuff. They need to realize that just because they were born in the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico or wherever does NOT mean that they are not Black. They need to pick up a history book and learn about the African diaspora, Afro-Cuban culture, etc., and understand that there is a reason why their skin is tinted brown despite the fact that they may have good hair (whatever that means). You have that good hair as a result of race mixing between African slaves, Spanish slave owners and the Native Americans, most likely the Taino. I am NOT saying that all of our Blatino brothers and sisters are unaware of this, but there are so many who are definitely unaware, or are ashamed of it so they ignore it. This frustration is largely due to working in the innercity school system and hearing Spanish children with skin darker than mine say stuff to each other like, Im not a nigger! BLACK people are niggers!, not realizing that the word nigger is a very offensive word that goes BEYOND color and that, even though they arent being taught it, they too are indeed BLACK. Its VERY important to KNOW YOUR HISTORY. No matter what your race is.
