Some of yall have noticed the type-o in my post yesterday about when SouthernPlate was started and weve all got a giggle out of it. I began SouthernPlate six years ago today, July 8, 2008. Yesterday, I put 1998 though! That was the year I got married (Sweet 16 anniversary coming up next month! Some people go on cruises, we just order pizza). Yall know how fast time seems to go, so in my mind 1998 makes more sense than 2008 because 2000s still seem to be in the future in my mind! And goodness gracious, here it is 2014! My caffeine levels were low yesterday, so I blame this for the sudden time travel on my part. Ill drink more iced tea today and that should help :) And now Im off to write the story of how God put me on the path I ended up on. Ill post that along with the recipe for that from scratch birthday (but easy) cake yall saw yesterday as soon as Im done writing it all.
