Some of you have heard.....I have accepted a full time position at Baystate Medical Center. Yes, its true. Its still quite surreal to me that after almost 20 years at the Wing, I am spreading my own personal Wings and will prep/recover heart and vascular surgical patients. After weighing the pros & cons with my husband, it was simultaneously the easiest & most difficult decision-- not only is this an exciting opportunity, but the merge of Wing and BMC will allow me to carry over my 20 yrs and the hours will allow me to reclaim some long-lost family time on holidays and weekends . I appreciate the support & cheers as I leave my comfort zone and wing family, but you cant rid of me that easily, as I will remain per diem until I retire or we move to the Caribbean-whichever comes first!
