Some of you may be surprised by my answer, and I may be surprised by some of yours. I dont believe in any traditional deity, certainly not in the god portrayed in Judaism, Christianity, or Islam, and not in any of the ancient gods, like Zeus or Odin or Thor or Neptune, etc, either. I DO, however, think that there may well be a being out there in the universe somewhere that has intelligence and abilities which far exceed our own. Do I think it is a supernatural, godlike being? No. But I do find it hard to believe that we are the most intelligent species in the universe. Also, I am not opposed to the idea that our universe is, comparably, just a grain of sand on someone elses beach. So while I do not believe in the Christian god, and while I am positive he does not exist, I am not opposed to the idea of something that we cannot currently understand existing.
