Some of you may know that one of the most constant seemingly trivial defeats that has been keeping me in a fetid sargasso of depression this past few months has been getting the right 13 by 19 bags at a reasonable price in a quantity that I had the cash for. Ideally *not* from a large chain. A little while back I finally gave up and went to Blick after all. And discovered that, along with many other things, they no longer stock such bags and are discontinuing their stocking of that entire line. A few of you know that this is a demoralizing story of many chapters but for the rest of you, trust me, this wasnt the one thing related to these bags that had gone badly, it was literally about the fifteenth. Today I finally got around to going to Columbia Art Supply for the first time in ages. Not only do they stock just what I need, *either* one at a time for a decent price *or* in lots of one hundred for a really good one, theyre also now selling off absolutely beautiful 18 by 15 fabric bags for an impossible price of forty-five cents each. And the very best thing? Multiply this good news by about five or six. It has been a VERY fruitful few days. I think that Im going to be sleeping better now.
