Some people act as if they are paid to find their spouse’s faults. Others act as if they are paid to keep a perfect record of their spouse’s wrongs. In marriage it is easy to notice each other’s faults and get on each other’s nerves. But husband and wife who truly love each other will deliberately overlook each other’s minor mistakes and faults. They don’t keep score of wrong. They don’t build monuments of each other’s mistakes. They discard the negative and complaining spirit and they adopt a contagiously positive outlook. Living with a negative spouse is like living in a house with a leaking roof. Nurturing a negative spirit is like allowing toxic algae to grow on your mind. Remember positivity does not come naturally; you have to be deliberately positive and consciously optimistic. Let your marriage glass always be half filled not half empty. – Isaac Kubvoruno
