Some people found it surprising that Id include a ballad like this on my EP, but Getting By, Barely was always a really special song to me. My first breakup at 13 years old was what really motivated me to start writing songs (as cliche as it sounds) and harness my emotions. After many angsty tunes came this song, which is honestly the oldest song I have that I consider to be great. Finally getting the chance to record this one years later allowed me to really breathe some new life into it, and Im so glad with how it came out. I hope you are all too.
