Some people have asked me HOW is sending your kids to public school HARDER than home schooling because you have quiet all day while theyre gone? ..heres the short of it...having lived both lives now. 1. SCHEDULES of 3 and now 4 kids is CRAZY busy. And...thats not counting early out Wednesdays. 2. Influences. INFLUENCES and ATTITUDES changed dramatically....and my kids already werent perfect. 3. Lost innocence-and survival of the fittest TOO early in my opinion... wicked, mean, bratty kids and my kids learning earlier than I intended that NOT everyone is as nice as you...THAT has been SUPER SUPER hard. 4. EFFING STUPID HOME WORK!!! My kids come home and have to home school anyway and I think homework is stupid busy work...I LOVE projects and research but thats about it. (Im finished talking about stupid home work? Did I mention I think its a WASTE OF TIME?) 5. I am MORE busy with my kids AT school because I STILL do everything I did when they were home with me. 6. We had a family schedule when we home schooled and our lives were integrated with life and school and NOW ALL of that is separate and the kids are segregated. 7. Dr. APPOINTMENTS!!! OMGOSH!!! We used to make Dr. appointments in the morning and it was HEAVEN...now its after school and being that Ive got different schedule for everyone, making an appointment takes MUCH more thought. lol 7. Now we HAVE to schedule family time because we are separated all day. So...HOME SCHOOLING Moms...your life IS louder than mine M-F when kids are in school but mine is not less busy...its MORE busy. Id homeschool in a HEARTBEAT if I had my choice. Ive learned to love the change and God has given me peace. And...I CAN finally poop by myself. :) The grass is NOT always greener.
