√ Some people have misconceptions when it said to them to avoid BIDAT (innovations), They always say that they are so many thing which the prophet (pbuh) did not do but everybody does it in Islam and We dont consider it to be Bidat. √ BIDAT (Innovations) means introducing new (WORSHIPS and BELIEVES) in to Islam. √ The prophet stated in Hadith that, Beware of Bidat (innovations), every Bidat is a Dolala (misleading) and every Dolala goes to hell Fire √ Narrated by Hadhrat Aisha (RA) that Nabiy said, Who ever Innovate something into this MATTER OF OURS (ISLAM) shall have it rejected on the day of judgment √ The statement, (IN THIS MATTER OF OURS) refers what the Rasul have brought as Tawheed and Figh (believe and worship of Allah) √ They are so many things that we do in Islam which most fall under category of Bidat whilst others do not fall into the category, √ Before I go further, I said earlier that Bidat means introducing news form Believes and worships in to Islam, therefore many thing that people argue to be Bidat may not come as new form of worship and believes. Examples are, 1 Using of microphone during prayers, this obviouly cannot be Bidat because it doesnt come as a worship but a MEANS of amplifying the voice, During the prophet era the means of amplifying the voice was to climb up high to call Adhan, It will only be a Bidat if the Muazin add a word to the well known Adhan or Iqama (which is new worship). 2 People say the prophet never travel to hajj with flight or a car but that is what we do now so it is BIDAT, it cannot also be a Bidat because it just a MEANS to send you to Macca to perform Hajj (no new believe and worship), There will be Bidat if then you introduce new activities to the well known Hajj activities (which is new worship). 3 Some people say the prophet never performs TAFSEER so anyone doing so has done BIDAT, Tafseer is also MEANS of Translating and explaining the Holy Quran to men (no new believe and worship), there will only be a BIDAT if they introduce new verses to the Quran (which will bring new believe). 4 Tabliq Gatherings are also BIDAT since the prophet never does so according to some people , But also Tabliq gatherings are MEANS to spreading Islam Massage (no new believe and worship), It will turn to be BIDAT if they preach any massage other the what Nabiy brought (which will bring new believe). 5 Some people say, during Nabiy Era the Holly Quran was not written in a single book but was done after his death that becomes BIDAT, It obviously cannot also be BIDAT because it was a MEANS of preserving the massage of the Quran (no new believe), It was supposed to be BIDAT if they had introduce new verses and chapters into the Quran (which will bring new believe). √ What actually meant to be BIDAT is when new believes and worship are introduce into Islam, eg 1 If you add one pillar to five pillars of islam making it six (will lead to new believes and worships) 2 If you add more daily prayers to the five ( will lead to new form worship) √ Others that stand as MEANS of enabling you to what Allah ask us do in Islam does not fall into BIDAT. √ That is why it seen that using TASBAHA in doing Tasbih does not fall into BIDAT (no new worship) but a MEANS of doing your Tasbih, It will be BIDAT if new sayings are brought into the glorifying of Allah during Tasbih (new worship) or you believe it has power to protect you other than Allah (new believe and shirk) √We can see what bidah has done to the other religions. It was bidah in doctrine that led people of Christ astray, and we are those who say to then that they are bringing new things into their scripture and their religion whiles we are also bringing news things into Islam without realizing it. √ Allah stated in the Quran that, This day I have completed for you your religion, completed my favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.
