Some people look at Christians as being sheep; something weak to be despised in this world of might makes right. They just don’t know my powerful shepherd from the line of David; His rod and staff they comfort me. When we fall into a pit, and please do not be ignorant, we all wonder around and fall into a pit often unintentionally. For some it is due to refusal to walk the path the shepherd has established, for others it is religious high-mindedness and the pride of thinking we are all that. For me it has been all three at one time or the other. The good news for all, is He is the good shepherd! His staff hook pulls us out of the pit. Does it hurt? Sometimes. Better to endure some pain and have life then to stay stuck, be devoured or consumed by the adversary. The shepherd uses the hook part of the staff to pull us out by our hands, arms, feet, legs or even neck!; whatever it takes, depending on how we are stuck. Do you have problems or persecutions galore or up to your neck in sin? It is not the type of problem or sin you face, it is your trust in the Lord to provide your way out of the snare; He is watching out for your care. Sometimes we must be still so He can get His lifesaver staff upon us. We live to see another day. When we remain in His care we win the prize of reaching our destination. What’s your destination, the Pit or Paradise? Today, remember to pray for one another. Not just those you agree with. Let out the grace that has been worked within you. Christ does not demand, neither should we. Make the offer not the compulsion. Everyone has a choice, so choose wisely. ©tsa2013
