Some pieces I worked on yesterday. The first earring took a few hours to make as I wrapped it in embroidery floss then glued the chain of pom poms. I like the contrast of the blue wooden bead. This reminds me of the Mexican artist Frida Khalo. The wooden hoops are one the (3) sets that I brought back from Jamaica, so this wood is indigenous to the island. I kept it simple to show-off the grain of the wood, I did however place a small pattern of metal and wooden beads as an accent above the hoops. I know the colourful earrings may have you thinking What do you wear this with?
