Some prospective Chartered Accountants are put off by the final - TopicsExpress

Some prospective Chartered Accountants are put off by the final hurdle: After four years at university, another three years of training, articles and qualifying exams to become a chartered accountant may seem daunting. “I’m already qualified to work as an accountant, or go into business,” some graduates conclude, “so why should I sweat through another three years of slog, just so that I can be authorised by law to prepare financial audit reports?” What these graduates don’t consider, however, is another major benefit of being certified by SAICA: it makes it easier for SAICA members to work as CAs(SA) in a number of other countries, without having to write more exams or re-qualify according to that country’s CA rules!
