Some very sad and disappointing news from the Lanark Post Office Facebook page. Lanark post office has been broken into, damaged severely and put on fire today morning (Thursday 13 June 2013). Two suspects are in custody. Due to this Lanark Post Office will be closed until further notice. Lanark Postoffice hopes to be running again within a couple of weeks once the premises are secure to be used for the customers. We will keep you posted. Please use the following post offices for all services - Carluke, Crossford and Carstairs. We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause you, espicially our elder customers, We are confident the law will serve its purposes and act accordingly when dealing with the suspects who have committed this act.
