Somehow, talking to people on Facebook or on Skype became the normal way of communicating. Being in a room full of drunk people listening to repetitive music which is too loud to even hear each other became socialising. Deciding whether you want to meet someone based on a few photos and a half assed biography has become dating. Working every waking hour to pay for a car, a home, nourishment and things we dont need has become living. Were all caught up in this rat race. All guilty of trying to fit in. Were all running to keep up with those around us, and thats okay, were born to survive. But we need to re-asess what makes us human, look at what brings only happiness, wisdom and peace. Its what we live for. Or at least what we used to live for. Because right now, were all playing a part in a pathetic masquerade which people are calling advancement, and in all honesty I cant see how this modern lifestyle is advancement. Its just distraction. Its false. Useless trash to keep us from the important aspects of being human. Its everything we shouldnt be. Be who you were born to be, not what society, the television or some lost individual behind a magazine article wants you to be. Youre humans. You arent sheep. Told where you can and cant go, what you can and cant do, what youre supposed to become based on gender, skin colour, where you were born, or how much money you have. Its a joke. Wake up.
