Someone asked what we think the next steps in energy would be. We propose this: 1. Overhaul the NRC: Ignore the delusional and uneducated anti-nuclear environmentalists, decrease bogus regulation, lower interest rates on loans, and allow implementation of advanced technology. 2. Get cracking and start building. Build like we have never built before. Scale-up as the French did. Build cheaper, liquid-salt reactors that use thorium or spent uranium fuel rods. Make them pre-fabricated and modular so plant construction costs plummet. String units together at plants as energy-demand dictates. 3. Put electricity into power grids as cheaply as humanly possible. Make nuclear grids at least half the cost per kilowatt hour as fossil fuels. Out-compete gas and coal, and corner the market. Produce an all-nuclear grid in 20-30 years. 4. Pour money from profits into R&D of reverse combustion from atmospheric CO2 and water. Make hydrocarbon fuels zero-emission. Provide such fuel to all commerce, industry, and transportation. At this point, we will knock out CO2 emissions from both electricity production and transportation, crippling coal, gas and oil. Get rich doing so. 5. Help other developing countries with their own nuclear energy programs.
