Someone earlier shared about Surfer Dudes Buyback that was possibly named Soul Surfer in honor of a family member that died..I thought it was so touching. I found a clip in the paper and copied/pasted it for you guys. Here it is per, Delmarva Now: Tim Heckman of Columbia, Maryland, whose family purchased the pony, said they will name it Randy in memory of his younger brother, Randall Heckman, who drowned at Assateague beach in August 2000 at age 44. He loved nature and he loved his family. He was an adventurer and we thought this would be a great thing. Im sure he would be happy to come back as a wild pony on Assateague, Heckman said of his brother.
