Something is desperately wrong in the Christian heart or home whose Sunday routine is to ask Are we going to church today? When I was a kid my dad would say we will always go to church unless providentially hindered--that means unless God himself stops us! The disposition of a Christian heart is toward worship of the One who gave it life & fellowship with others who also have been regenerated. We should want especially to give Him our 1st & our best: the 1st of our income, the 1st minutes of the day, the 1st day of the week. Though the Christian does not bear the burden of the legal requirement, he or she should exhibit the compulsion of an overflow of love for Christ.
