Something to consider: Your intensely personal information -- including mental health records -- could and we must assume will be used against you if you are declared an "enemy of the state". This is the IRS writ large. If there is no confidentiality or even the presumption thereof, people in desperate need of certain care or treatment will avoid it or go to another country at the risk of their very health and well-being. The information could be used to sabotage your career, prevent an adoption or business loan, a rise or promotion, even a relationship or marriage. Welcome to socialism America... and you voted it on yourselves; just like the communists predicted when I was a child: "We will bury you."
