Something very very seriously wrong happened to that Air Malaysia 777. It was in the safest part of its trip and just disappears? Modern jetliners dont just do that. Considering the safety record of the 777, this is just remarkable. Its pretty much the Favorite big jet for most airlines. I cant imagine Vietnam shooting it down. Thats REALLY bad for PR, esp now that they have a good dialog with the USA. Even if it lost both engines it still had enough back up battery power to at least get a mayday off. Whatever happened was truly catastrophic for them to not even get that much off.
