Something weird just happened. I heard a yell, it sounded like Bob going AHHHH! as if hed hurt himself building the shed. I looked out the window and he was standing perfectly still, looking out at the hay field. I looked to where he was looking and to me it looked like our dog Penny chasing our cat Data across the field. The noise was not one that Penny would be making. I ran outside and Bob told me what happened. He heard the AHH too, it was a FOX! It was yelling at Data and chasing him across the field. Data was heading for Bob, but the fox circled around in front of him and chased him back the other way. By time I got out there Data was in the tall grass at the far edge of the field and the fox was slowly sauntering off in the other direction. Beautiful, dark red, healthy looking fox. I wonder if it was a female protecting a den, or if it was a juvenile playing with Data. So weird.
