Sometime between 10:30am and 12:30pm today (7/27/2014) my 1963 Green VESPA was stolen from beside my house near Ashmont station in Dorchester VIN 1V9A1T2946 License Plate # VZ5782 The VESPA was locked with a heavy duty cable lock to a metal post and the keys were not in it. The spark plugs had been removed (so it wasnt driven away). I made the police report right after I found it missing, but they think it quite unlikely to ever be recovered as they are usually broken down and sold for parts/scrap. If any of you around Dot saw anything (someone pushing a VESPA down the street, or loading one into a truck, or see an abandon VESPA laying around) - or see a post on Craigs List looking to get rid of one etc . would you please let me know. PLZ share with your Dot friends. Its a long-shot, but Id really love it back.
