Sometimes I get carried away when trying to express my feelings at the moment. But that’s me! But I was reading and noticed a prayer that we all should consider, so let me share with whomever. “Lord Jesus, help us to give diligence to make our calling and election sure that no high places may undermine our FAITH. Remind us to contend always for the FAITH, using all our influence to promote RIGHTEOUSNESS, TRUTH, and YOUR KINGDOME. Help us to lead a PURE LIFESTYLE, walking humbly before You. Keep us from developing alliances with those who would lead us away from the PURITY of the FAITH. Help us to build our ministries and churches in PURITY rather than on the support of the High Places, in Jesus name.” So many times we wonder why? Especially when concerning our children, and our advancements concerning the Kingdome of God. Could it be that we forgot to destroy some of the things or paths that would not be pleasing to our Father? 11 Chronicles 33: 11-13 &15-17. Manasseh had a true repentance while in prison located in Babylon and God restored him on the throne again. While on the throne he destroyed the worship of the false gods and he cleansed the house of the Lord. But a weakness that he held onto and didn’t get rid of all was the high places; the people worshiped the one true God: but their worship was corrupted worship in that it was not done in the place designated by God for sacrifice. In so doing Manasseh left a door opened for the people to backslide again. And as a result, Manasseh’s son Amon became Judah’s next ruler and was an evil king who refused to humble himself and repent before God. We cannot let ourselves handle the disregard for God’s Word. We must take care to destroy the high places not just for ourselves but for the benefit of considering the future of our children. We affect all those who are around us but even more so our children. As parents we may practice in moderation, but our children may take it to the excess.
