Sometimes I wonder how stupid I am. Is this seriously happening?!?!? Not in Oregon, nor California. I remember when Noah was in the first grade and I tried to have him attend an after school program for three days. Each day I let him leave class and walk there only staying for 15 minutes and then 20 minutes and on the third day when I arrived to pick him up there was so much chaos with all different ages of children involved in many different activities and Noah was sitting there wide-eyed about to cry as he and I both listened to one of the teachers scream at another child. Her back was to me and she didnt know I was there and neither did Noah. I watched as he listened to this teacher yell and his face crushed me. I tried so quickly for him to see me and I scooped him up...glared at her and never ever did he ever go there or anywhere else but his Grandmas. Everyone has a right to their own parenting style, but to this very day Noah is 17 and never once has he been spanked. What I taught Noah was he deserved the exact same respect I wanted from him, maybe I got lucky. Im not saying Im right, but it was right for Noah.
