Sometimes I wonder what happened to this dude I knew in middle school whose name was Jihad. On the first day of school the teacher asked him, Jihad, your name means holy war, how does that make you feel? and he shot her one of the angriest looks Ive ever seen in my life. The funny thing is he only ever said one thing to me and it was really nice. One time I dared my buddy Kenneth to stick a paper clip in the electric outlet. It POPPED and glowed red hot - then the circuit breaker or fuse shorted out, the classroom went dark, and they had to let us out early. The next day, Jihad said, That thing you did yesterday. That was good shit. Thanks. Not long after that he took a 9-millimeter to school, took a pot shot at the principal, and got shipped off to Juvenile Hall. This was 1996.
