Sometimes an old image can remind one of the most obscure things. What hit me the most was the red rattlers (Tate trains) the Blue (Harris trains) and the stainless in the same shots. The thing about them was that the Harris trains were bought in to replace the aging Tate fleet. All was good till they worked out that asbestos was used in them for insulation against extreme heat and cold. The stainless trains were rushed in to replace them and all the Blue Harris trains ended up in a disused quarry just past Oakleigh and buried away for future archeologists to discover and die from an unknown airbourne source of death.
