Sometimes in our walk with Jesus there are many times that we seem - TopicsExpress

Sometimes in our walk with Jesus there are many times that we seem to doubt our relationship to be strong enough that he actually is there to give us the strength that we need. We tend to see our weakness and failures more than we are able to see his love and his promises. These are the times that we must dig in for the fight against doubt and depression. You say, well how do we do that? From my own experience I can tell you that this is a time for warfare in the spirit. Now your really lost?? Its a time that you consider all that you feel that you have invested and do you really believe the word of God. Well, you have to ask yourself some straight questions and you must be honest with yourself. I have walked in that place that I have felt like I was losing all of my hope because of things that I had done. You begin to realize that its the things that you have not done is where the weakness has been able to slip in. When we excuse ourselves of not praying & staying in the word of God every day I can assure you that this is an invitation to sorrow. We doubt because we have wandered off to a place that we cannot hear the voice of God. We hear his voice many times though that medium of prayer & study of his word. When it seems that you just dont know what to do and you dont even feel that you can pray, just get your bible and hold it in you hands and simply say, Lord help me. I could weep now just to remember times that I have felt like I was losing my hunger & thirst for Jesus as I knew it should be and I would just hold that word and cry. I would begin to remember that scripture where it says in Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Again Psalms 34:38 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Its like Jesus is saying, my son, you have now found the way to the cross and I am already here to give you the desire of your heart. What an uplifting time to just pray in the spirit. Again Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. When we find that place of brokenness to where that the Spirit begins to to take over for what we cannot do then the peace of God flows within our hearts for now we know that we are in the presents of The Lord, and in his presents there is joy evermore. Blessed be the name of The Lord.
