Sometimes it would be nice to find words that could punch a hole in the side of the head of someone, but all the bad guys end up morphing into robots, taken over by memes, the poor soulful potential of the human barely recognizable underneath the ravening ideas. The holy potential of the brain has been flatlined to a few neurons churning out propaganda day in, day out. Hip hop is a natural reaction to the situation -- taking the ever more madcap bullshit and shoving it back out. (Im impressed by some of it. Eminem is actually fairly damn amazing at times -- kind of a Robin Wiliams of music). I like whatever stops the dull grind of habitual thought, stops the bullshit that has compacted to form the bones of my own skull. The aggravating thing in all this is that the toxicity of propaganda is like atrazine in some ways. Its in the water, in the skin, in the organs, in the bones. To clean ourselves of this bullshit is the problem. To say just one sentence every day that gleams of purity, of simple honesty, is a hellovan accomplishment.
