Sometimes life throws you that friend youve needed to meet for aeons, and he lands on your couch, yelling about drag queens and ghosts. Is one of the nicest things someones ever said about me. Thanks becky. Rebecca showed me the trailer for the film she is making about her estranged Uncle. He was/is a psychedelic musician who did an album with Lou Reed back in the day, and rests in obscurity, while talking eloquently about magic, highly detailed descriptions of aliens, and their hierarchies, and PILES of other stuff. Fascinating guy. Then we watched this, about Roky Erickson, which is beautiful, and difficult, and then I had a panic attack for the rest of the day, because Im completely convinced Im going to wind up like one of these characters one day. Ranting and raving under a bridge while a couple of film students make a small documentary about me, interviewing people that knew me saying he was really brilliant, its so sad whats happened... this is a solid fear of mine. This film was great, check it out.
