Sometimes, people change for the better simply because they desire - TopicsExpress

Sometimes, people change for the better simply because they desire something more fulfilling in their lives. I truly believe that its entirely possible for people to learn, grow, and change via spiritual unfoldment. Unfortunately, for me, most all of MY changes for the better have come as a result of my inability to stay in the pain of my current behavior or circumstances. Simply put, the pain of staying in it has to become larger than the fear of getting out of it! I really dont think it matters what prompts the willingness to change, as much as we make a start and follow through to the end. But one thing I do know for certain....... The willingness to become open minded and accept the fact that MY way is what produced the painful position that Im in to begin with, is indeed a requirement! I can not continue to think the same way Ive always thought and behave the same way Ive always behaved, and expect something different. If I keep doing what Ive always done, Im going to keep getting what Ive always got. Law of nature at its finest! I could go on and on, but you get the point? I have recently become willing to make another change. A change in an area that has plagued me for some 40 years. As always, there is a period of transition accompanied by lots of required, alternate actions. It is an awkward time, to say the least. But, in the end I will immerge a better person with a deeper faith. Im just soooooo grateful that I have a personal relationship with a power greater than myself who loves me enough to walk me through it. A power that adores me enough to bring me to a realization that it is time to deal with this. He must really have a lot of confidence in me to bring this to the surface. I am ready, willing, and able for this change! I give You all the credit, all the glory, and all the praise! I am so grateful for your love!
