Sometimes the world and the people in it can surprise you. Take Anthony Cymerys for example, an 82-year-old retired business man who has found a unique way to express his love to the people around him. How does he do it? Cymerys exchanges haircuts and shaves for hugs. Each week, Cymerys visits the local Hartford’s Bushnell Park with clippers and a car battery in tow. He doesn’t ask for anything more than a heartfelt hug, and he won’t turn away anyone in need of a good shave or cut. Cymerys’ main goal is to show how much he loves his client. Everyone deserves to have a clean-shaven face, to have someone care enough to do something seemingly simple. There is nothing simple about looking your best, though, or the work that Cymerys is doing for his regular clients.
