Sometimes we just have to give those we love time to grow on their own. We do so in the hope that as time passes they evolve into the person they are destined to be. Life’s challenges are never easy but we must learn to make that hurdle one obstacle at a time. For those who love it is never easy to let go. It is because of love that we must. As the mother bird prepares her young for flight, it becomes obvious this is the natural way. It was never meant for her young to remain forever under her wing or in her nest. Love is so difficult at times to manage and often so misconstrued. In times of struggle many often cry out to God; “why Lord?” That sense of abandonment overtakes our fleshly thought. Yes, He could control or direct our every thought and action. But he doesnt, instead He lets us go our way and follows oh so silently in the shadows not far behind us. In Matthew 27:46 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? It is the same for many parents who must let their children learn their own destiny. These children often feel abandoned. Yet they must learn how to pick themselves up and to bandage their own knee.
