Sometimes when I am at work and reflect on its overwhelming lack of creativity and sheer void of fulfillment i stop to think....I could be a coal miner. Working hundreds of feet below the surface in a cramped uncomfortable pit of despair. Surrounded by misery and darkness. Watching the expressionless faces of my comrades as they each pick away at the seemingly endless pile of rock in a futile effort to move forward while inevitably realizing that is merely a dream born of ignorance and one that withers and dies when held up to the light of reason. My every breath conspiring against me to fill my lungs with the blackened toxic soot that will surely lead to an agonizing and suffocating death. While all the time fearing the walls may cave in at any moment and forever entomb me in a living hell from which there is no escape... man those miners have it good. Wonder if they are hiring?
