Sometimes, when I see the way my teens interact, both with each - TopicsExpress

Sometimes, when I see the way my teens interact, both with each other and with others, I am sharply reminded of all my terrible failings as a parent. I see the patterns of thinking and behavior that originated in me, as a young, sinful woman, and were passed onto my children. It breaks my heart. I do all I can to counteract the evil and sinful ideas that I raised my two elder children with, but as they say: it’s an ounce of prevention to a pound of cure. I still fail as a mom, but I am so thankful to have found grace at the foot of the cross. I strive every day to not just *tell* my teens what they should and should not do, but to actually live a life that shows them the way. Again – I fail… but I try to own it and humble myself for correction and move forward. And I pray my kids will forgive me my failures and allow me to grow as a parent and as a child of God.
