Sometimes you walk through a door that you recognize is the result of prayer. You see all kinds of evidence that this door is the right one. Your belief in this door is so profound that youre overcome with gratitude. You see evidence all around you that it can unlock your deepest desires and dreams .... Then, someone comes along who tells you that they have a better door. They criticize your original door and tell you that it was an illusion, even though you could have sworn you saw plenty of evidence to the contrary. But they appear so nice and so sincere, so you listen. They convince you that this other door is better for you. What theyre not saying is that its really better for THEM. Never mind that this new door will require you to step on others on your way in. Never mind that God would never condone hurting someone else to get what you want. So you ignore the warning signs, the red flags, the common sense, all that you once knew to be truth, and you hand your destiny right over to them. And to you I ask --- How is that working for you?
