Soo Catrina is working late today so I decided to go to Hoss for a Veterans day meal. In line in front of me were two elderly couples. One the gentleman was wearing a WWII hat and the other gentleman was wearing a Korean war hat. They order and I hear what they ordered. The gentleman both got the free meal and the ladies both ordered something small. I tell the cashier that I would pay for their wives. They told me I didnt have too but I insisted. They asked if I was alone so I told them yes my wife was working late today. They asked me to join so I obliged. We ate and talked and I got to hear some pretty good stories from back in the day. We finished and they told me thats the first time someone had done that for them and that it ment to world to them. I didnt do it for the recognition I did it because they arent too many of the older vets left. And I wanted to show my thanks. Please take time out to shake a hand or say hello and thank you to a vet. And it doesnt always have to only be on this day or Memorial day. But it does mean the world to them.
