Sooo... I was nominated by Bunny Malone to list 15 films that influenced me... Its a lot harder to do this than I thought it could be!!! Ive kinda taken the angle that the younger you are the first time you see a movie, the greater influence it will have on the rest of your viewing decisions and your general outlook on life (ahem!) Even just now Ive thought of two other movies that should be in this list but what on earth can I take out??? So without further ado and in no particular order... 1) Trading Places 2) Beverly Hills Cop 3) The Karate Kid (the original obviously) 4) Ferris Buellers Day Off (Ferris Bueller youre my hero!) 5) Gremlins 6) Jaws (afraid to use the bathroom for weeks after that!!) 7) The Terminator (T2 is amazing but this started it all) 8) Crocodile Dundee 9) Grease ( I have three sisters, it was this or Dirty Dancing...) 10) The Life of Brian 11) The lost boys 12) The Goonies 13) Ghostbusters 14) Tremors 15) Star Wars (feck it all six of them!) Honourable mentions have to go to Top Gun, James Bond, Indiana Jones, National Lampoons and any of Van Dammes early stuff... I could have added another couple of Eddie Murphy or Schwarzenegger films but damn you Bunny you only let me use 15!!! So to my nominations... Emer Lynch youre getting off lightly after that Ice Bucket nomination! Another of my travel buddies Becca Siân Llewellyn, lets see what you got :) And because of his extensive and varied film collection Trevor Sweeney is my final nomination. Not for charity, just a bit of craic :)
