Sophie Blackall, the illustrator for the Ivy & Bean Series by Annie Barrows, has designed posters which will will soon be appearing on posters in pediatricians offices as part of an American Academy of Pediatrics effort to get children vaccinated. What do you think? Is this a good way to spread positive messages about vaccinations? In the bestselling books, Bean puts a lot of effort into coming up with ways to avoid things like chores and reading. Here, when Beans friend Ivy brings up the measles shot, Bean comes up with lots of silly alternatives, but the easiest and best option turns out to be to get vaccinated!
