Sorry I have not updated on Max since our last post. We were in Hopkins for 2 1/2 days battling his hip bleed. This is something not Leukemia related for a change. This is Hemophilia rearing its ugly head. He was in tremendous pain and was being given a lot of Factor ( clotting medicine for Hemophilia) and morphine for pain. He was not able to move at all for about a day and a half... He could not even tolerate being picked up it hurt hi so bad. Finally all healed and we went home. I administered Factor ( through his port) 2 x a day for a week. He ( and his brother) are doing well and we are now just doing our normal prophylaxis doses 3 x a week. Happily I can say that his last Oncology appointment went well and the bloodwork they will do monthly to check the Leukemia markers was totally clean! He will continue to have monthly bloodwork done and bone marrow biopsies every 6 months. As for now we focus in keeping Hemophilia under control and look toward to Max starting Kindergarten in the fall. Thats another concern because if the autism but I have no doubt he will adjust and thrive as he overcomes every obstacle thrown at him!!!
