Sorry about that. I started smokeing when l was 29 years old. Old enough to no better. I would quit long enough to have surgery. Then l would start gaining weight n l would start smokeing again. 1967 l was 29. December 3rd, l found out a very dear friend had lung cancer. Chemo might give u 1 year, 2 at the most. On Dec. 3rd, 2001, l locked myself in my bedroom. I cried and prayed then cried and prayed some more. My son wrote a book, EVERY DAY VICTORY FOR EVERY DAY PEOPLE. I read that book/highlighted/read the whole thing again. Studied it, marked verses in my bible and prayed some more. Finally, l had to admit l was adicted to cigaretts and if l ever smoked1 cigarett l would loose my battle. God gave me the strength to quit. December 3rd, 2001. Every day l thank God for giving me the courage to quit
