Sorry, but Im on the warpath again. The criminal code for impersonating a member of the Forces, can only provide a SUMMARY conviction. Theres two types of convictions in this country: summary and an indictable offence. A summary conviction would be something like j-walking. The worst punishment is a small fine and no jail time. Indictable offences are like armed robbery or theft over $20,000. Punishable by huge fines and jail time. Thats the problem with our code. Part two of my problem: we really have to stop playing this mental illness card. Its utter bullshit. According to societys standards right now, every person in the world has some form of mental illness. Everyone has issues with depression, self-doubt, self-loathing, self-image. Its boring me to death. Its called being human folks, and living in a world that has undeniably gone straight in the toilet. It also dishonours those among us who actually do have a measurable chemical imbalance in their brains that debilitates them and makes their lives a living hell. I dated a girl for the better part of four years whose actions as a human being were absolutely atrocious by times. She used mental illness as the excuse. First it was bi-polar, then it was the varying types of the disorder, then it was borderline personality disorder, then it was generalized anxiety disorder, cycling through whatever illness that would excuse her behaviour. She wasnt mentally ill, she was just an asshole. Plain and simple. We have to wake up folks. There are people among us who really do need our help and understanding and when every Tom dick and Harry can commit acts that are immoral, godless and depraved and then get off by saying oh Im sorry! Im manic-depressive we are seriously on the slippery slope to destruction as a race. Love to all. Rant done.
