Sorry concerned parents and/or friends. I did safely arrive (though 4 hours to late thanks to incompetence ((keeping my plane nearly and hour on the tarmac)) on the part of SOMEONE at San Francisco). However in my infinite wisdom I managed to forget both my laptop charger AND my wifi adapter. I was able to get a charger at the airport, but oddly no one had a wifi adapter. Then when I actually arrived in St Johns, I was in shock to find that the Canadians actually observe labor day properly and close most of their stores. I was only able to pick up some soap/shampoo and take a much-needed shower. Electronics and everything else had to wait until today. First taste of Canda: foggy. However today is beautiful at St Johns.
