Sorry everyone for taking so long to update you on Jeremys surgery! He did great during the surgery which lasted about 1.5 hrs. The terrible part was watching him cry with tears streaming down his face and not making a sound because his abdominal muscles hurt so badly! He was in post op for over 2 hrs and been given 3 types of pain meds and still could not rest and get comfortable. Everytime Dennis and I thought he was finally falling asleep his eyes would pop open and he would grimace and then the tears would start! I had to walk away a few times because my heart was breaking when he would look up at me with eyes that were saying please make it stop hurting and I couldnt do anything to make it better! We finally got back to his room and the nurse paged his surgeon who came up to the room and wrote orders for pain meds thru his IV every 2-3 hrs and another IV med every 6 hrs. Dennis and I were finally able to rub his hands and back and get him to sleep. Dennis went home to be with Kalianne and start dinner. Jeremy finally fell asleep and I laid down on the cot and fell asleep for 2 hrs. We just finished watching Cars and he seems to be relatively comfortable since he just got some more pain meds. Praying the night goes smoothly and pain free!
