Sorry folks, but if a publisher is asking you to make - TopicsExpress

Sorry folks, but if a publisher is asking you to make contributions to them so they can start a company website, then they are not prepared or established as a suitable publisher to represent your book. Preparing and publishing books is not cheap, it is NOT free. It requires, editors, formatters, cover artists, and ereader conversions. A legit publisher is made up of a chief editor, marketing manager, staff or sub contractors to handle the tasks I just mentioned. Oh and lets not forget one biggie here, when handling other peoples royalties, AN ACCOUNTANT. So writers, if a publisher {especially a new one} is asking you for money, regardless of the reasons {supporting a non profit cause being the only exception}, then turn away and take your book, that you worked hard to finish and look for a publisher that knows what they are doing. Because I am telling you right now, if they cant afford their own website, then they are not likely going to pay you your fair royalties.
