Sorry for the late posting of A Promise from God...Been busy for the past months. Here are 3 teachings...God bless us all! Ptr Joe Sauco Refreshed and Forgiven A PROMISE FROM MY GOD: Acts 3:19 (KJV) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; GODS MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY: If we want a clear conscience and a guilt-free life, repentance of all our sins before God is an absolute necessity. It’s the only way we get acquitted from every part of our offenses and iniquities against the word of God. It’s the only way we experience the refreshing forgiveness of Jesus brought by His unconditional love toward us. The Bible says blessed are those whose sins are forgiven and whose iniquities are washed away. Blessed are they because God has given them a time of refreshing. It’s also the very reason why after salvation, we are tasked to help every sinner realize how much they need God. Like us, they must come to decide to cry out to the Lord for pardon and receive Jesus as they own Savior that they too may know and enjoy spiritual refreshment that only comes from the presence of Christ. One of the ways I felt heavy and overwhelmed in this life was because I was carrying unnecessary burdens or taking on responsibility that God never required. When I step out of my relationship with God, when I go against His Word, when I want my will over His, things become more difficult. Condemnation and guilt can creep in and cause me to try to “work harder” or resolve to “a life of penance” so I can be forgiven. I thank God that because of His loving mercy I don’t have to pay for every sin I make or else nothing in my life won’t be enough to pay it all. I thank Him that He doesn’t punish me for every fault and wrong decision I commit because even if it cause me life and death it wouldn’t suffice as recompense. Praise be to God, He promised that once I just repent of my sins and get right with Him, He will also give me a time of refreshing. It doesnt mean I am free from the consequences of my errors, it only means that He doesn’t hold me guilty any longer and that He will give me grace to face it. And I will never be alone even when I feel the loneliest because my Lord will be with me. Furthermore, because of God’s times of refreshing, He will make the sun to shine brighter in my life again after the heavy rains. I may be in deep sorrow and at dark times of the night but His joy shall come in the morning. In His appointed time, He will comfort my hurting heart and turn my pain into favor. God promises in His Word to bring me times of refreshing. He doesn’t want me to live overwhelmed, in despair, or weighted down by all the burdens in this life. Scripture says that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. That means He wants me to live without guilt if only I come to Him for forgiveness of my sins and for the refreshing of my soul. God doesn’t expect me to figure everything out because He already has a plan for my good, and whatever He asks me to do, He equips me for it and that includes a clean heart and a renewed, refreshed spirit. So, if you find yourself out of step with God, out of His way and burdened with guilt and shame for all the wrongs you’ve done, today is great day to find your new beginning! He wants to refresh you. He wants to empower you with His strength. Why don’t you turn to Him with an open and humble heart? Repent of your sins, then let go of the past, and start moving forward. What God has forgiven, He has totally forgiven. What God set free is indeed free. Receive His love and grace and enjoy times of refreshing with Him! MY PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father God, I come to You with an open and humble heart. I choose to submit myself to You and surrender my ways to Your ways. Thank you for forgiving me and setting me free from all sins and guilt I brought at Your feet. I make the choice to live in Your grace and to walk in Your will and thank You for empowering me and refreshing me today in Jesus’ name. Amen. Saturday Joe Sauco 1/17, 1:46am Joe Sauco Closer to My Dreams A PROMISE FROM GOD: Isaiah 40:3 (KJV) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. GODS MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY: Do you ever feel like you run out of gas? Not physically, but emotionally and spiritually? Like you can no more go forward? Like every strength in you has gone drain? Everyone of us goes through seasons of waiting and most of us get worn-out along the way. We get weary when nothing seems to happen after a long time of hoping and praying. We get desperate when the answer takes longer than we believe we can bear. And usually this is when we lose the zealousness to keep on. But perhaps we have the wrong kind of waiting or the wrong spirit or the wrong attitude while waiting. The Prophet of God, Isaiah, teaches us that God gives those who really wait upon Him a brand new kind of strength in their seasons of waiting. It is in the seasons of waiting that we can make ourselves strong in the Lord. It is in the seasons of waiting that we can grow better in the knowledge of His word. It is in the seasons of waiting that we make preparations for those that we pray for. A lot of times, people just sit back and wait for God to do everything. But, you have to remember to do your part. Don’t expect to receive of the Lord if you ask for something and then act contrary to your own prayers. You have to talk like it’s going to happen and act like it’s going to happen. Some people might say, “Well, what if I do this and it doesn’t happen?” But I say what if you do and it does happen? And even if things don’t turn out the way you had hoped, you’d still be better off living your life positive and hopeful than you going around down and discouraged. As we often say, “As long as there is life, there is hope.” And that’s very true! Each day that God gives you breathe it means He still has a good plan for you. Just wait upon Him and make preparations while you are waiting. Waiting is one of the ways that God refills my tank. Waiting is one of the ways God uses to help me get recharged emotionally. I need it. Isaiah shows us this picture to help us mount up with wings like eagles, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint and all these happen in our seasons of waiting. I like that picture! I need that kind of strength in my life. Walking, enduring, but not wearing out. Running, giving out great amounts of energy, but not wearing out. And mounting up with wings like an eagle, doing things I never thought I could do because of Gods strength through waiting. Waiting forces me to stop so that God can recharge my spiritual batteries in much prayers and in simply resting on His word. I need that. When my rechargeable batteries have run out, I have to stop using them, take them out, and re-charge them -- and that takes time. Farmers cant just plant again after the reaping season. They have to let the soil to rest, after which it will be better prepared. Soldiers cant just go on fighting battle after battle after battle. They are given chance to go back home and recharge. I love what David said in the Bible, Psalm 31:15 (KJV) My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. “God, my times are in Your hands.” He was saying, “God, I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I know You know what’s best for me.” So, I’m going to go out today expecting good things from the Lord. And even if it doesn’t happen now, I’m not going to go to bed all disappointed. I’m going to go to bed knowing that I’m one day closer to seeing my dreams and desires come true! I will strengthen myself in the Lord during the seasons of waiting because that’s the only way I can soar high with wings as eagles. It’s the only way I can endure, not get weary and not faint until God gives the delight of my heart. MY PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father in heaven, I dedicate this day to You. Show me how to prepare for You to work and move in mighty ways in my life. Help me guard my words and thoughts as I put my trust in You. I choose to live by faith, not by sight knowing You are faithful and what You have promised in Your Word shall come to pass regardless of how long it’ll take in Jesus’ name. Amen. Sunday Joe Sauco 1/18, 1:09am Joe Sauco Reach To The Future A PROMISE FROM MY GOD: Philippians 3:13 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. GODS MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY: The reason it is so important for me to set some particular goals and to strive to achieve them is that I have a unique God-given purpose in this life that only I can fulfill. It’s kind of like building my own house — something I had better not attempt without a clear vision of what I want and a good set of blueprints, or I may wind up with some extra doors or windows that aren’t really needed! God is the architect of my life. His Word is the blueprint of His hopes and plans for my present and my future. All I need is to simply trust and work along His design for me and to make them as my own life goals. God wants each of us to have something to reach in the future to. Something we look forward to. God wants that we set those life goals He meant for us so we can enjoy the best of His plans and His good works in our lives as we behold our dreams and prayers slowly coming to pass. But if you have a problem being focused and setting the goals that the Lord has planted in your heart, one of the best things you can do is to start writing them down, both short-term and long-term ones. It’s amazing how your life can begin to take shape when you can see on paper where God is taking you. In other words, I have to choose to set up my goals based on God’s blueprint of my life so that it will keep me moving forward. Sometimes, my past victories keep me from rising higher as much as my past failures can keep me from trying again and harder. If I don’t set some goals, I will never be able to embrace my future with my God. This means that no goal is really a goal by default. In other words, if you dont set a goal, youve already set it, and the goal is to stay the same. Remember that old cliché? When you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I read this in the net. See how much of it is true to you and based on what you are going to realize, make a choice. I just hope and pray you’d choose God and His purpose for your life. When I ask you, “Whats your goal for your health,” and you say, “I dont have one,” then your goal is to stay the same. When I ask you, “Whats your goal in your relationships,” and you say, “I dont have one,” then your goal is for them not to get any better. When I ask you, “Whats your goal for your finances and getting out of debt,” and you say, “I dont have one,” then your goal is to stay in debt and to struggle with your finances forever. When I ask you, “Whats your goal for your business career, and you say, “I dont have one,” then your goal is to just drift along. That’s why the Bible teaches us to have goals. They are a spiritual discipline. They challenge our faith. They develop our character. They build our hope and they make us dependent on our God. It doesn’t matter what’s happened in my history, it’s time to forget what lies behind. The past is over regardless of how much I regret it or wish for it to come back or stay. Today, I will make the choice to live forward in obedience to the best Architect of my life, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will make the choice to set His blueprints for my life as my very own goals. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. As you forget what lies behind and press onward, you’ll move forward. You’ll see how beautiful, meaningful and purposeful God meant your life to be. Just set your goals according to His designs. MY PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father in heaven, today I choose to forget the past. I don’t want anything to hold me back from what You have in store for my future. I choose forgiveness. I choose peace. I choose to follow Your blueprint for my life. Help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward into the life of purpose, service and blessing You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen. Sunday Joe Sauco 1/18, 7:56pm Joe Sauco It Just Mean Not YET A PROMISE FROM GOD: Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? GODS MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY: Many times, people can miss God’s best simply because they give up before their “due season” comes. NOT YET doesnt mean NO, it means NOT YET. NOT YET doesnt mean NOW, it means NOT YET. With God, there is a time to every purpose under heaven. There is the right season for everything. NOT YET to Him means at the best and proper time He appointed. But doesnt God know the agony of waiting? Maybe what you are waiting and hoping for is just a little thing to many, but for you right now, its the only thing that matters. Its what you think about every day. It seems to take longer than you thought and you’re starting to get upset wondering when your due season will come too. One day maybe ok. One week may still be bearable but one month can cause irritations, and years of delay may cause discouragement, bitterness and anger. Gen. 16:2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. God put Abram and Sarai in a season of waiting but Sarai got impatient and went ahead of God and both suffered its consequences for all their lifetime and its effects lasts even to each generation after. But if God could create the world in six days, why do I have to wait six months to get a job. Why do I have to wait years after years to get what I’ve been praying for? Does that make sense? If He could do things immediately, why do I have to wait so long? Rom. 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. God makes us wait because of what waiting does to us. He wants us to wait because of what happens inside of us when we wait. He meant for us to wait because waiting is one of Gods greatest tools for our growth. Why does God make me wait? Maybe God needs to purge us of every sin that may hamper our growth. Maybe we need time to prove the sincerity of our hearts and the purity of the motives behind our prayers. Maybe we need to go through training and discipline so we could start giving up the hindrances to our blessings. Maybe God is simply teaching us to be patient and to trust His perfect timing and reasons. Be encouraged today, your answer is closer than you think. God is truer than true! What He promised in His word He will surely fulfill. Your due season will come because NOT YET to the Lord means not now but in the right time. If it seems like things are getting more difficult, remember, when the intensity heats up, that means you are closer to your victory. It’s always darkest just before the dawn arrives. I serve a faithful God, and He’s working behind the scenes on my behalf. I dont cast away my confidence. I will keep doing His will for my life because I believe my reward is coming regardless of how long I have to wait. Hebrews 10:35 (KJV) Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. And just like a new mother forgets about her labor pain when she is finally holding her newborn, I know I will forget about my struggles when I am already holding Gods promises in my hands. While I am waiting, I’ll keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. I’ll wake up every morning and say out loud, “I’ve come too far to give up now. My due season is coming. I will reap my harvest of blessings. Stay in faith, keep serving the Lord and wait patiently upon Him for He has promised favor and blessing at the time He knows you will enjoy them best! MY PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father in heaven, today I stand still believing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Give me Your strength to continue believing until I see Your promises fulfilled in my life. Keep me growing in faith that I may serve You without giving up even when my prayers take time to happen in Jesus’ name. Amen. Sent from Messenger Choose a sticker or emoticon
