Sorry now to be bringing this up again ( i did before around 2 years ago ) but now I have more reason to as the shop Im in at the moment is at the front of all this. Something seriously needs to be done about this area... #Kinsale, a town that prides itself on tourism seems to be ignoring an area of the town that looks like something out of the movie 28 days later... Weekly this area is used by bored youths and drunken revellers as a hang out spot as theyve got absolutely nothing better to do... People are actually turned off from crossing the road to come see the shops because of the disgusting sight by the arch... People pour out of the nearby pubs and club at night and either end up getting sick or urinating out the back or smashing glasses and bottles and the meter boxes belong to the buildings which makes the place look so bad. Its also a handy place to not be seen in due to the corners and underage drinking goes on out the back regularly... Its intimmidating for people to walk through there to say the least.... After our recent award in Kinsale as a top tourist destination maybe its time for the local people to be heard. This area has been reported to various councillors and TDs over the years but no one seems to actually care about it other than those who are paying rates and rent in the area yet our cries for a solution are falling on deaf ears. Im putting this up on social media to highlight this and hopefully someone will see it who can help.... 3 Gates would sort this.... Thats all..... 3 Gates...
